Marcela Di Blasi is an Assistant Professor in the Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies Department. Her current book project, Love and Other Worlds: The Political Value of Romantasy, Pleasure, and Escape combines literary analysis, media studies, ethnographic research, and quantitative analysis of book sales to understand the significance of the genre's runaway success.
